Port FM Lovelock Memorial 10km Fun Run & Walk

The Port FM Lovelock Memorial Fun Run & Walk starts from Timaru Boys High School, heads down North St, through Avenue Rd, up Church St, down Otipua Rd, Quarry Rd, through Centennial Park, back down Wai-iti Rd, Otipua Rd, North St and finishes in Timaru Boys High School grounds (the finish passes the Lovelock Statue & the Lovelock Oak - presented to Jack Lovelock for winning the 1500m at the 1936 Olympic Games)

  Start Time: 10km - approx 2:15pm
 
School's 1500m races

The School's 1500m races start in the grounds of Timaru Boys High School, heads out Hurley St, onto Otipua Rd, east along Raymond St, Oxford St, into North St and and finishes in the Timaru Boys High School grounds (the finish passes the Lovelock Statue & the Lovelock Oak - presented to Jack Lovelock for winning the 1500m at the 1936 Olympic Games)

 

Open to Primary & Secondary School aged children - entry can be made through your school or on the entry form (Runners will be split into seperate races depending on age)

  Start Time: 1500m - from 1:00pm
 
  Please enter using the official entry form (available from the businesses listed below)
 
  Postal entries close on Wednesday 14th October, with late entries being accepted on the day - Saturday 17th October
  Please be early if you are entering on the day - at least 30 minutes before the event you wish to enter

  Race numbers will be available from The Frontrunner, 300 Stafford Street, Timaru
from 1:00 - 3:00pm on Friday 16th October
  On the day of the run, race numbers can be collected from Timaru Boys High School, North St, Timaru from 11:30am until 1:30pm

Starting Times: 1500m Fun & Walk from 1:00pm
  10km Fun Run & Walk approx 2:15pm
 

 
Spot Prizes and Certificates: The 10km race has a large number of spot prizes to be awarded to finishers in both the run and walk
  These include the major spot prize of a Scenic Flight over the Southern Alps (provided by Air Safaris), with accommodation at Lake Tekapo Scenic Resort
 
  The prizegiving will be held on the grounds of Timaru Boys High School as soon as possible after the finish of the event (if wet, prizegiving will be held in Hogben Hall)
  To be eligible for any of the spot prizes, finishers must be present at the prizegiving
 
  All finishers in the School's 1500m races will receive a finishers certificate, with the winning teams school receiving a winners certificate
  Certificates will be available to all 10km finishers as they complete the course
